Marty and the Artificials is my virtual music group — a collaboration between human creativity and artificial intelligence. Every song on this page began as one of my poems. The words are mine, written the old-fashioned way over many years of marriage. The music and voices are generated with the help of artificial intelligence — which makes AI the rest of the group. Hence "Marty and the Artificials."

The songs span a variety of styles and a range of moods, from tender love songs to comedic character pieces. Almost every song tells a story, although some just express feelings that I had at various times in our lives. Whatever the mood, every song started as a poem, and every poem started with my wife, Marianne.

Some songs will make you laugh.
Some may bring a tear.

Some are corny.
Some are a bit naughty… and then some!

Some are not in the book.
